Windows v0.4.15

64-bit Windows 10/11, .NET Framework 4.8, and a compatible Codex installation with a supported account signed in. A browser-only ChatGPT login is not sufficient.

1. Open Setup from Windows File Explorer; administrator access is not required.
2. Choose whether to add a desktop shortcut, then open the utility. For the portable option, extract the entire ZIP before opening the app.

What’s improved

Version 0.4.15 improves installation reliability and makes Setup unmistakable. The orange Setup icon is separate from the blue Team357 utility shortcut. Setup now checks the embedded and installed versions, Windows registration, and requested shortcuts before reporting success, and it repairs an owned shortcut that points to Setup.

For future Windows updates, open Settings → Check for Updates. The utility verifies the download before you choose Install and confirm Setup. If your older version has no update button, install v0.4.15 from this page once.

Connection tips

To refresh account readings, restart the utility first. If needed, restart the Codex desktop app, confirm you are signed in, then reopen the utility and choose Retry Connection. Use Send feedback below for questions or suggestions—never include passwords or private account details.

The Windows utility sends no Codex credentials or usage readings to Team357. Hardware readings depend on your computer. These packages are unsigned; an unknown-publisher notice may appear. Keep normal security protections enabled.

Mac v0.6.0

macOS 13+ and a compatible Codex installation/sign-in. The universal app includes Apple silicon and Intel builds. This release was tested on an Apple M4 Mac with macOS 15.7.3; Intel and macOS 13 runtime testing remain outstanding.

1. Open the ZIP in Finder, then open Team357 Codex Usage Utility.app.
2. Choose Install and Open. You can also choose to add a Desktop shortcut.

What’s improved

Version 0.6.0 adds verified manual updates, improves saved Codex sign-in recovery and weekly graph history, and refines resizing, drive rows, and installation controls.

For future Mac updates, open Settings → Check for Updates. After a verified download, choose Show Download in Finder, open the app, and choose Install and Open. Nothing installs silently. Earlier Mac versions need a one-time download of v0.6.0 from this page.

Use the installed Applications copy or its Desktop shortcut afterward. Settings → Uninstall → Move to Trash keeps your utility settings and history by default; select the separate removal option only for a fresh start. Codex and its sign-in remain untouched.

This Mac beta is ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or Apple-notarized. First launch may require your approval; managed Macs may block it. Keep normal security protections enabled.
